Why TyH uses Magnesium Bisglycinate in Fibro-Care
At TyH, we’ve been helping people with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue for decades. Since the beginning, our mission has been to provide highly effective, expertly formulated products that addresses the unique needs of our customers. That’s why 33 years ago, we created our formula Fibro-Care™ with magnesium and malic acid and other supporting cofactors.
Lately, we’ve been getting calls from customers asking about the "hype" around magnesium glycinate and wondering why we don't include it in our formula. We're happy to clear up the confusion!
Magnesium Glycinate vs. the Albion® Magnesium Bisglycinate in Fibro-Care™: What’s the difference? This is where the confusion often lies. In short, there is no difference between the two names - they are often used interchangeably in the marketplace. However, the term "bisglycinate" is more scientifically accurate and speaks to a superior formulation.
Magnesium Glycinate: This term can sometimes refer to a compound where one molecule of magnesium is bonded to one molecule of the amino acid glycine.
Magnesium Bisglycinate (also known as Di-Magnesium Glycinate): This is a chelated form of magnesium where two molecules of glycine are bonded to a single molecule of magnesium. Albion® has patented a more stable and complete chelation, which is a process that encapsulates the mineral to protect it from other substances in the digestive tract.
Why Bisglycinate is better, the science of absorption: For a supplement to be effective, it must be absorbed by the body. Many common forms of magnesium, like magnesium oxide, have very poor absorption rates. Albion® Magnesium bisglycinate stands out for its exceptional bioavailability and is often recommended for its gentle effect on the stomach.
By using two glycine molecules, Albion® magnesium bisglycinate is more effectively transported across the intestinal wall. The body recognizes the amino acid (glycine) and allows the entire compound to be absorbed more efficiently. This superior absorption means less digestive upset and more magnesium reaching your cells, where it can get to work.
We’ve been using the BEST for over 33 years in Fibro-Care™. When you look at our Fibro-Care™ Supplement Facts, you’ll see our proprietary blend lists Albion® Magnesium Bisglycinate Chelate.
