IT'S IMPORTANT to make sure you are taking enough magnesium. One Fibro-Care™ does not meet the 350-400 mg daily requirement. A suggested formula to calculate your dose is to take 2.5 - 4.5 mg per pound of body weight for normal individuals. Loose stools do not necessarily mean you are getting too much magnesium. You could simply be taking too much too fast.*
Start low (90 mg) and slow (one per meal). When trying a new supplement, you may want to start with the lowest dose and take with a meal. For example, one Fibro-Care™ will give you 90 mg on the first day. Increase the dose over the next several days to the amount you need to meet your daily requirements. This helps your body adjust to the new supplement in a “low and slow” way. *
If your red blood cell (RBC) magnesium is very low, you may need higher than the RDA for a while to raise your level. *
NOTE: If your red blood cell (RBC) magnesium is very low, it can take 8-12 months to restore your level to optimal of 5.5 mg/dL. Be patient and take a consistent daily dose. Recheck your level in 6 months after starting Fibro-Care™ to monitor your progress. Once you reach your optimal level, consider checking every 6 months to make sure this level is maintained. *
